Ryan Clancy, lead speechwriter for United States Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and a former campaign speechwriter for Vice President Joe Biden, will rejoin West Wing Writers as a principal, two years after leaving to serve in the Obama Administration. According to a release, “Clancy is part of a talented quintet that joined the Administration from West Wing Writers", including: Megan Rooney, who is a senior speechwriter for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton; Nathaniel Jackson, who is the lead speechwriter for Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius; Maany Peyvan, who is the chief speechwriter for USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah; and David Litt, who recently joined the White House as a speechwriter for Chief of Staff William Daley and Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett.

720 Strategies announced Jeff Oldham has been named the firm’s managing director. Prior to joining 720, Oldham served as a managing partner with Sextant Public Affairs and he also served as Senior Vice President for Direct Impact.

Anne Arundel Community College appointed Dan Baum as executive director of its Public Relations and Marketing department. Most recently, he was vice president at Crosby Marketing Communications.
