- Brunner is changing the name, management and focus of its D.C. office to reflect the District's increasingly digital-oriented marketing communications needs. The office, formerly Blattner Brunner, recently posted its new signage as Brunner Digital at its 1250 Eye St., N.W. address. Other changes announced by the Pittsburgh-based firm include the naming of Tim Weinheimer as Acting Managing Director. Weinheimer has led Brunner's digital marketing efforts for the past two years. Brunner Digital's Creative Director of Emerging Media, Ernie Mosteller, has expanded his role in the DC office with a focus on social media and other new forms of digital communications, in addition to creative duties. Additionally, Brunner Digital hired Shaun Quigley in the newly created role of Interactive Practice Director. He previously managed the National Wildlife Federation account at Greenfield/Belser in, Rockville where he was responsible for account management and digital design and development

- Cool Earth, a UK-based nonprofit organization that protects endangered rainforest in the Amazon to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that foster climate change, selected GolinHarris to lead its public relations launch efforts in the U.S.  The agency will promote Cool Earth's brand in the U.S., building on success the organization has had in the UK. The account will be led out of the agency’s Arlington office.  

- Strategic Communications Group signed TARP, a customer experience agency in the measurement of customer satisfaction and loyalty for Global 200 companies. Strategic will leverage web 2.0 as a platform to establish TARP executives as thought leaders in the customer experience space.

- Low + Associates received awards for two PSA campaigns at the annual International Association of Business Communicators-Washington, DC Chapter Silver Inkwell Awards Gala.   One was related an Internal Revenue Service PSA campaign, Life Can Be Frustrating,” which was featured on radio, TV and cinema; while the other was for “My Story,” on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid program.

 

-CreatiVerge, based in Columbia, won nine MarCom Awards for its global re-branding campaign for Era Corporation, a provider of next-generation surveillance and flight tracking solutions based in Reston.
