[**Ohio River South**](https://ohioriversouth.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **(ORS), a southern-focused public affairs and government relations firm, added Andy Beck, above,** as Executive Vice President in D.C. According to a release, Beck held senior roles within the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he led national campaigns on transportation, energy and sustainability. He also led strategic communications for George W. Bush’s 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns, before working as an advisor on President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, where he managed messaging strategies and surrogate outreach.

According to a release, he is a “seasoned expert on issues involving broadband deployment, wireless spectrum allocation, antitrust, artificial intelligence, content moderation, data privacy, online safety, U.S.-China relations, media and entertainment, and more. His strategic counsel has delivered measurable results for private companies and non-profit organizations through targeted advocacy campaigns, coalitions, and media engagement. He brings key relationships to the table, including with policymakers at the FCC, FTC, Department of Justice, Department of Commerce, as well as the U.S. House and Senate Commerce and Judiciary committees.”
