# Agency Updates: Puritano Media Group, Adfero and Statara

[**Puritano Media Group**](https://www.puritano.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **(PMG), based in Occoquan, VA, launched a sister venture, 309 Films LLC,** dedicated to original film and documentary storytelling. The new venture, pictured above, debuts with *Smile for the Dead: An Examination of Spirit Photography*, which, states a release, explores the unusual 19th-century practice of capturing ghostly apparitions through the work of **William H. Mumler**. Directed by **Hamilton Young Ward** and produced by **Charlie Puritano**, *Smile for the Dead* has earned recognition at over 30 film festivals this year, and will be broadcast on MPT on Sunday, October 19, at 4:00 pm, with a re-airing that evening at 11:00\. 

[**Adfero**](https://adfero.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **launched a video series called *Between the Lines*,** hosted by CEO **Steve Lombardo**. The series, states a release, dives into what’s said, what’s heard and what’s actually true in media and communications. **DC-based** [**Statara**](https://statara.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com)**,** a provider of data-driven communications, technology and public affairs services, named **Albert Morales** as its senior director of new markets. Morales most recently served as director of sales and services at TargetSmart, a Statara subsidiary and, earlier, was a vice president at polling and research firm GQR.
