### DC’s Largest Annual Advertising, Marketing and Communications Event

### to be held on October 14 at the MLK Library Conference Center

**AJ Jones II, Executive Vice President, Chief Strategic and Corporate Communications Officer at Monumental Sports and Entertainment**, will deliver the keynote address at the Mid-Atlantic MarCom Summit on Wednesday, October 14, at the MLK Library Conference Center in Washington, DC.

Jones brings extensive expertise in strategic communications and corporate branding to the Summit stage. In his role at Monumental Sports and Entertainment — the organization behind the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, and Capital One Arena, among other properties — he leads all aspects of strategic and corporate communications across one of the most prominent sports and entertainment portfolios in the nation.

He joined Monumental in 2025 from Starbucks Coffee Company, where he served in multiple leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, and Executive Vice President and Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer. Prior to joining Starbucks, he was the Chief Corporate Affairs & Communications Officer for Vanda Pharmaceuticals and served as a c-suite executive at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Additionally, he has held senior executive roles at Fortune 500 companies, top-ranked consulting firms, and government institutions.

Jones’s keynote represents a highlight of the summit’s programming, offering attendees direct access to one of the region’s most accomplished communications executives.
