**Alex Wallace**, a 10-year veteran of NBC News, is leaving the network. As senior vice president, Wallace has overseen NBC Nightly News as well as *Meet the Press*, and, since 2014, the D.C., bureau.

The news was announced by NBC News president **Deborah Turness** at the editorial meeting. Turness will oversee D.C. operations while **Janelle Rodriguez**, who joined NBC in December as senior vp editorial, will oversee *Nightly News*.

Wallace joined NBC News as *Weekend Today* EP in 2005\. In 2007 she was named vice president of News, essentially the No. 2 job in the news division. In 2007, she took over as exec producer of *Nightly News with Brian Williams*, but returned to the front office in 2008\. The move, states a report, comes as News Division head **Andy Lack** solidifies his senior management.
