AMA Baltimore announces 2023-2024 Executive Board

The American Marketing Association Baltimore Chapter (AMA Baltimore) announced its executive board for the 2023-2024 chapter year. The executive board is a group of volunteer leaders who are responsible for all oversight of the Baltimore chapter, including membership, sponsorship, programming, and other key areas for the organization. The 18-member board includes both new and returning members.

Incoming president is Keisha Clarke-English, (left in photo), who brings more than 25 years of proven leadership and strategic development skills to the role. Clarke-English is currently the director of project management in the Office of the CEO at Exelon.

Joining the board as president-elect is Marina Cooper, (right in photo), assistant vice president for integrated marketing and brand at Johns Hopkins University. Cooper will assist Clarke-English in chapter management and will assume the role of president in July 2024.

Past chapter presidents Christian Bielski, Joe Wagner, Dov Hoffman, and Anne Rubin will continue to serve on the board as vice president of membership, vice president of MX Awards, vice president of sponsorship, and secretary, respectively. Vice president of programming Katie Ballance, vice president of finance Phillipe Lerner, MBA, and general counsel Mark Edelson, Esquire, will remain in their roles for the coming year.

Seth Geller, who previously served on the board in several roles, most recently board member at large, will serve in the coming year as vice president of volunteer engagement. Kristina McKeaver, who previously served as secretary, takes over marketing + communications for the chapter as vice president of marketing and communications. She will be assisted by Amy Barley, who will serve as assistant vice president of marketing + communications. Nicole Haslip, who previously oversaw marketing + communications for the chapter, will serve as assistant vice president of MX Awards.

AMA Baltimore also welcomes new board members Dr. Sylvia Long-Tolbert, vice president of mentorship + professional development; Natalie Farrell, vice president of collegiate relations; Moni Oloyede, vice president of marketing technology; Lindsey Byroads, assistant vice president of mentorship + professional development; and Kelly Nowlan, assistant vice president of membership.

The members of the executive board officially assumed their roles on July 1, 2023, and will serve through June 30, 2024. The board meets monthly throughout the year, with additional committee and volunteer meetings held on a regular basis.
