# Andrew Bates, a “prominent voice for President Biden,” launches Wolfpack Strategies

[**Andrew Bates**](https://www.axios.com/2025/01/07/biden-final-days-lame-duck-republicans?utm%5Fmedium=partner&utm%5Fsource=microsoft-start&utm%5Fcontent=link&utm%5Fcampaign=subs-partner-msoft-sneakpeek)**, a senior-level communicator for Joe Biden’s White House and presidential campaign**, is launching [Wolfpack Strategies](https://wolfpackstrategies.us/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com), a D.C.-based strategic communications firm. According to [Axios](https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/government/andrew-bates-former-white-house-aide-launches-wolfpack-strategies/ar-AA1xIFWu?ocid=BingNewsVerp&ref=capitolcommunicator.com), as White House senior deputy press secretary, “Bates was a prominent voice for President Biden. Bates is among the first of Biden’s White House crew to hang out a shingle.”

The agency’s website states that Wolfpack Strategies specializes in crisis communications, press relations, strategic messaging, simplifying complex subjects, helping private sector clients avoid and defuse political issues, and reputation management.

The website also states that Bates “led the White House Press Office’s approach to crisis communications and to big-picture, complex, and adversarial stories and narratives. He also took point on media relations for what would become the administration’s chief legislative accomplishments – including the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

“And Bates was the lead press official for President Biden’s judicial nominations, including the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

“Previously, he joined the Biden campaign during its earliest days as its principal spokesperson for responding to attacks on then-Vice President Biden, his policy agenda, and record.

“The Washington Post wrote that “Bates earned a reputation as a forceful and competent spokesman who handled questions about some of the most sensitive issues.””
