# Chip Smith joins Avoq’s Board of Directors

**Avoq announced the appointment of Chip Smith to its Board of Directors.** Smith, states a release, brings decades of industry experience to the company and will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of Avoq as it continues to grow.

“We are excited to welcome Chip to the Avoq Board,” said **Will Wynperle**, member of the Board and Partner at Coral Tree Partners, an investor in Avoq. “With Chip’s extensive experience in the industry, he will provide valuable insight as we work toward achieving our long-term goals. We look forward to his leadership and contributions to our Board.”

“Chip has a proven track record of building and leading successful consulting businesses across politics, communications, and advertising. His deep understanding of both our industry and our vision for Avoq’s growth journey makes him a great addition to our Board.” said Avoq CEO **Nicole Cornish**.

According to the release, Smith joins Avoq’s Board with over 25 years of experience in corporate affairs, strategic communications, government relations, and complex corporate transitions. He was previously a founder and served as CEO of The Glover Park Group, which later became FGS Global. Smith helped to shape the organization from start-up into a leading strategic advisory firm. Subsequently, Smith served as EVP Global Public Affairs and Policy at 21st Century Fox Group.
