# D.C.-Area Agency Updates: RenewPR, Heart+Mind Strategies, JPA Health

**Ben Finzel celebrated the fifth anniversary of his agency, RENEWPR,** at the George Town Club in Washington, D.C. The Honorary Host Committee for the event included leaders of several D.C.-area communications, marketing and public affairs firms: **Anthony Shop** and **Thomas Sanchez** of Social Driver, **Laura Taylor** of Silverline Communications, **Lisa Fels Davitt** of Succession Communications, **Ingrid Duran** and **Catherine Pino** of D&P Creative Solutions, **Chris Kelley Cimko**, **Taylor Gross** of The Herald Group, **Bob Witeck** of Witeck Communications, **Wes Combs** of Combs Consulting Services, and **Scott Widmeyer** of Finn Partners. In addition, Finzel invited alumni from each of the three firms he worked at earlier in his career: Edelman, FleishmanHillard and Widmeyer. **Reston, Va.-based Heart+Mind Strategies announced the appointment of Mike Dabadie** to the position of CEO of the company. He had previously served as co-CEO with Dr. Dee Allsop. Dr. Allsop will be on 18-month sabbatical beginning in 2020 to serve a mission for his church. He will return to Heart+Mind Strategies in early 2022\. Dabadie is a founding partner of Heart+Mind Strategies and, states a release, he brings to his role extensive expertise as a marketing executive on the client side as well as a long history in research and consulting management.

**JPA Health added Kate Paxton to its D.C. office** as a senior vice president. Paxton brings more than 20 years of experience managing global and regional health communications campaigns. Paxton joins from Ketchum where she was Managing Director, London Health; SVP of Washington, D.C. Health; and senior vice president.
