**Direct Impact (DI), a grassroots campaign firm** that’s a wholly owned subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, announced that **Connie Partoyan** has been named CEO. Before this promotion, Partoyan served as president of DI.

**Ian Walsh, TrackMaven’s chief marketing officer**, has parted ways with the quickly-growing marketing technology firm, DC Inno has learned. DC Inno added that Walsh served as CMO for the D.C.-based company over the last two years and has been instrumental to its rapid rise. Both CEO Allen Gannett and Walsh confirmed the move, noting that the decision was mutual. Gannett has stepped in to oversee the duties of CMO, while the company is not actively recruiting a new CMO at this time, according to Walsh. Aside from being an executive, Walsh was also a stakeholder.

**The District of Columbia Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment** named documentary filmmaker **Brandon Kramer** as the April 2016 Filmmaker of the Month. Kramer is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, participatory video practitioner, youth media educator and a fourth-generation Washingtonian who lives in Adams Morgan. He is also the co-founder of D.C.-based documentary production company Meridian Hill Pictures, which he co-founded with his brother (and December 2012 Filmmaker of the Month) **Lance Kramer**.
