# D.C. Updates: DC Inno’s 50 on Fire, Speakerbox and Fenton

**DC Inno announced its 2017 list** of 50 on Fire. The list, states DC Inno, “honors the hottest companies, organizations and people from across a number of categories, each one operating within or around the city’s innovation economy.” Those recognized in the Marketing & Advertising category are SpeakerBox Communications, **Allen Gannett** of TrackMaven, Gabriel Marketing Group and **Erik Requidan** of Intermarkets.

**SpeakerBox Communications celebrated its 20th anniversary in October** – see photo above – with a 90’s theme party. According to the agency, since 1997, “SpeakerBox has given a voice to many B2B and B2G technology companies and has been dedicated to helping the tech ecosystem thrive in the DC region.”

**Fenton, which is based in NYC, appointed Scott Beaudoin** as group president of ACTIO which, stated the agency, is a new corporate and brand offering made possible with Beaudoin’s addition. He most recently held the post of Chief Strategy Officer at RF|Binder and, before that, spent eight-years at MSL where he led the agency’s Corporate and Brand Citizenship practice globally. ACTIO will be based in the agency’s NY office, but served by staff in NY, DC and LA.
