# D.C. Updates: James Rogers, Aaron Keyak and Dave Stroup

**James Rogers is joining the US Conference of Catholic Bishops** as executive director of public affairs and will be in charge of strategy and communications messaging. Most recently, the 20-year PR veteran was executive director of PR for Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, reports O’Dwyer’s.

**Aaron Keyak is teaming up with political veteran Steve Rabinowitz** to start a new D.C.-based company, Bluelight Strategies, reports jweekly.com. The news was announced at a Latkes and Vodkas party held in the firm’s D.C. office. Rabinowitz is the firm’s president, while Keyak is the managing director. Keyak and Rabinowitz (his former boss) will represent progressive and Jewish clients.

**Social Driver added Dave Stroup** as account director, public affairs. In this role he will leverage his expertise to advance the interests of public affairs clients. Stroup served as digital director for the Sen. Mark Warner 2014 re-election campaign. Previously, Stroup was digital communications manager, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and served in similar roles for the Sierra Club.
