Ed Gillespie, Who Ran for the U.S. Senate in Virginia in 2014, Rejoins Brunswick Group

by | Apr 6, 2015

Brunswick Group announced that Ed Gillespie has returned to the firm as senior counselor.  In this role, said Brunswick Group, “Gillespie will contribute to the development of the firm’s corporate reputation, crisis and public affairs practices, while also providing counsel on key issues such as digital communications campaign strategies and corporate data and security.”

“Gillespie has extensive experience spanning communications, business, government and politics including positions as Republican Party chairman, counselor to President George W. Bush and founder of two Washington-based advisory firms. He rejoins Brunswick Group after a 2014 campaign for the U.S. Senate in Virginia,” continued the Brunswick release.

He will divide his time between Brunswick Group and his Alexandria, Virginia firm Ed Gillespie Strategies, which he formed in 2009.

In January 2014, Gillespie announced a run for Virginia’s U.S. Senate seat and, in June, he received the Republican nomination. He conceded the election on Nov. 7, race, three days after Election Day.
