[**Eric Shuster** ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/eric-shuster-b522795/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com)**has been named Associate General Manager at Maryland Sports Properties. Previously, he was Director of Strategic Partnerships at Monumental Sports. When he exited Monumental Sports,** Shuster stated on Facebook:

“In 1995 I began my career with the Washington Bullets as a PR intern. After my internship, I was hired in 1996 selling season tickets. In 1998 I made the move to Home team Sports (HTS). HTS then became Comcast Sportsnet, NBC Sports Washington, and to this day the Monumental Sports network.

“On my first day, I was given no accounts. But I was given access to my mentor **Andy Ockershausen**. I had no contacts, but Andy was a media legend. He showed me what sales was and taught me the phrase “show up on time and return your phone calls”. After 30 years, I have decided to step away from the network and the teams that I love. It’s been an incredible journey with too many people to thank. The memories I have made will last a lifetime.

“I have met so many great people in the business and sports world. And have even had the opportunity to meet three Presidents as well as the most amazing person I know in my wife **Shevonne**. As I step away, I know my mom is looking the down and proud of me for giving my best day in and day out to the station as well as the community. I want to thank everyone who was a part of this amazing time of my life.”
