AAAA’s Strategic Success: Skills to Get You There

Strategic thinking is not an innate skill that agency planners and account managers are born with. Any agency professional can learn to be a better strategic marketer and become more valuable to both client and agency by doing so. This session will teach you a powerful strategic framework for approaching all marketing initiatives. You will also learn how to manage and solve thorny strategic challenges such as insight development, brief writing, gaining agency/client strategic alignment, and making strategic channel choices.

Tools and Skills Attendees Will Walk Away With

•A fundamental understanding of marketing strategy that puts the customer first, including a strategic marketing framework and the “4 Whys” tool for creating powerful consumer insights
•The ability to identify a weak brief––and the skills to strengthen it, including a strategic map to ensure strategic alignment
•Guidance for helping clients adopt a strategy that will set them up for success (even if the strategy they currently have in mind will not)

Junior to mid-level account managers and planners who feel that they could benefit from training and tools to become better strategic marketing partners to their clients and more strategic members of their agency teams.

About the Trainer

Nancie Ruder is Founder and CEO of Noetic Consulting, a marketing and advertising consultancy based in Washington, DC. Noetic partners with Fortune 500 clients, nonprofits and agencies to provide training, strategic brand positioning, marketing process development and general marketing consulting.

Nancie began her career in advertising at the Leo Burnett Company, where she spent 10 years mastering Account Management, Planning and New Business. Nancie brings this experience, along with her 13 years of Noetic leadership, to her interactive and engaging training style and techniques, her frequent speaking engagements and her teaching at Georgetown University as an adjunct Professor.
