PRSA’s Central Chesapeake Chapter Presents a Public Affairs Summit – The State of Public Relations in Regional Politics

The Public Relations Society of America Central Chesapeake Chapter will feature a Public Affairs Summit where leading government communication professionals working at all levels of regional politics will discuss cutting-edge communication techniques utilized during Maryland’s Legislative Session. Panelists include (alpha order):

Owen McEvoy:Public Information Officer, AA County Executive Steve Schuh

Tim Zink: Press Secretary for United States Senator Ben Cardin

Politicians are in the limelight on a regular basis. The responsibility of holding an elected office begets a high level of examination in the press on a variety of issues. Learn public relations strategies and techniques from leading city, county, state, and federal government agencies actively utilizing the latest in communication channels to enhance citizen engagement, support legislative initiatives, and build constituent involvement with various events and initiatives. Panelists will also share their insights on the state of public relations within our regional political arena.

Registrants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis (limited space). The program is co-sponsored by the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce and includes breakfast which costs $25 for PRSA members and $30 for non-members.
