Social Marketing Association of North America (SMANA)

Join the Social Marketing Association of North America (SMANA) on Tuesday, February 21st for an evening of networking with and learning from fellow DC social marketers and behavior change colleagues. Our host will be American University and our speaker will be Dr. Caty Borum Chaattoo.

Dr. Borum Chattoo is Director of the Center for Media & Social Impact (CMSI), an innovation lab and research center at American University that creates and studies media designed for social change, and Executive in Residence at the American University School of Communication in Washington, D.C. She is an award-winning communication strategist and film and TV producer working at the intersection of social-change communication, research, and documentary production.

This event is free and open to all. Snacks and drinks will be provided by Action Research (http://action3630.com/). Action Research specializes in changing behavior for the public good by applying marketing and social science research to outreach programs that promote clean, healthy, and sustainable communities.

Public Transportation: The closest Metro station is the Tenleytown/AU stop on the red line. From the Metro, you can take the AU shuttle bus to Katzen from the corner of Albemarle and 40th Street. The bus runs every 10–15 minutes. Metrobus routes: N3, N4, N6, N8 pass the Katzen on Massachusetts Ave. NW or M4 and N2 pass the Katzen on Nebraska Ave. NW at Ward Circle
