# GovExec acquires Federal Business Council

[**GovExec**](https://www.govexec.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **acquired** [**Federal Business Council**](https://www.fbcinc.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) (FBC), a producer of government agency events (federal and defense), including on-site, in-agency industry expositions, off-site agency conferences, and meetings. According to an announcement on the acquisition, to date, “FBC has conducted over 5,000 national and international events for US government agencies across the United States. This acquisition brings together two of the most trusted brands in the government space and allows both brands to strengthen the connection between government and industry.

“For GovExec clients, the FBC partnership offers targeted events that reach deeper into the government buying community by agency. This also expands our event offerings into agency-led products since agencies contract directly with FBC to produce their own events. FBC allows GovExec clients to reach targeted audiences directly through exhibits and speed dating sessions. Coupled with the data from GovTribe and community products from ATARC, we now have more channels to offer clients to strengthen their GTM strategy. Your GovExec account representative will soon be able to add these events to any existing program.”

FBC will continue to operate as an independent division under the leadership of founder **David Powell**, and the sales teams of both organizations will remain separate entities.
