Production of the Netflix series “House of Cards”could resume for the show’s sixth and final season as early as mid-December, sans actor Kevin Spacey, reports The Blaze.
According to The Blaze, “Following multiple sexual misconduct allegations against Spacey in October, Netflix fired the actor and went on an extended production hiatus while it evaluated how to proceed.
“The series’ producers announced Sunday in a letter to the show’s cast and crew that it would extend the hiatus for two more weeks while it continues talks with Netflix, according to
The Hollywood Reporter. The letter said the writing staff, as well as a small office and accounting staff, would keep working in the production office.
““The one thing we have learned throughout this process is that this production is bigger than just one person and we could not be more proud to be associated with one of the most loyal and talented production cast and crews in this business,” Pauline Micelli wrote in the letter. Micelli is senior VP of the television business and legal affairs at Media Rights Capital.
“Micelli also wrote it would continue paying the crew for the next two weeks.
“The show will likely write Spacey off the show, according to The Reporter. “
