# HudsonLake and Hudson Studios Merge

[**HudsonLake**](https://hudsonlake.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com)**, a communications firm based in Alexandria, VA, and Hudson Studio, a visual communications firm, have merged**. The new firm will operate as HudsonLake.

According to a release, the new entity “formally combines two family- and women-owned businesses that have enjoyed a longstanding business partnership. “Hudson Studio has always been a valued and trusted HudsonLake vendor, and it makes sense to blend its tremendous creative design talent with HudsonLake’s strategic communications expertise to function as one team with a singular commitment to providing exceptional client services,” says Cynthia Hudson, shown above, founder, board chair and CEO of the new HudsonLake. “Increasingly, visual communications are a critical tool for engaging stakeholders and influencing behavior, especially with more people working remotely and fewer opportunities for in-person interactions. Bringing in-house a new creative services practice will increase growth opportunities and enable us to provide an even more seamless experience for our clients.”
