– The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), in partnership with LMO Advertising, launched an advocacy campaign to urge supporters of benefits for military retirees to challenge Congress to repeal the latest legislative budget cuts to Cost of Living Adjustments. With the support of a vocal community that included MOAA and its members, both the House and the Senate voted to repeal the cuts. The week-long campaign leveraged the use of Twitter’s trending hashtag #KeepYourPromise to drive engagement. It garnered a 100 percent increase in mentions of MOAA on Twitter each day of the campaign and prompted 161 citizens to express their concerns to Congress.
