**Each December at its Winter Awards luncheon in Washington, D.C.,** PR News inducts into its Hall of Fame PR professionals who, stated PR News, “have played longtime leadership roles, serving as sources of inspiration within and beyond the workplace and helping to redefine and expand the roles communicators play. They’ve poured much talent and many years into the PR discipline, teaching by example.”

The 2016 Hall of Fame inductees were honored on Dec. 6 at the National Press Club, and they were:

**Anne Cowan,** SVP, Communications and Marketing, CTAM;

**Raymond Kerins,** SVP, Head of Communications, Government Relations & Policy, Bayer;

**Robert Mathias,** President, Ogilvy Washington;

**Debra Silimeo,** EVP, Hager Sharp; and

**Rob Stoddard,** SVP, Communications & Public Affairs, NCTA.

Of note, the Public Relations Society of America’s National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) inducted **Mathias** and **Silimeo (**plus **Don McLearn)** into the National Capital Public Relations Hall of Fame on Sept. 16, 2015\. You can read the accomplishments of Mathias and Silimeo in [Capitol Communicator’s post](https://capitolcommunicator.com/prsa-ncc-to-induct-debra-silimeo-robert-mathias-and-don-mclearn-into-its-hall-of-fame/) on the PRSA-NCC event. (Mathias announced that he is leaving his post at Ogilvy at the end of the year.)

Now in its 10th year, the PR News Hall of Fame honors professional communicators who have played longtime leadership roles, serving as sources of inspiration within and beyond the workplace, and who have helped redefine and expand the roles communicators play.
