**People at the Washington Post** have been “anxiously awaiting the portrayal of Executive Editor **Martin Baron** in the film “Spotlight.” The film highlights Baron’s time as editor of The Boston Globe, where he oversaw the newspaper’s Pulitzer Prize-winning coverage of widespread sexual abuse in the Catholic Church and their attempts to cover up the scandal, reports [The Post](https://www.washingtonpost.com/pr/wp/2015/09/03/post-executive-editor-martin-baron-hits-the-big-screen-in-spotlight/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com), which added:

“The film recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and Variety called it “magnificently nerdy.” The Boston Globe said the film “premiered to sustained applause.”

“Spotlight” stars **Liev Schreiber** as Baron, plus **Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Michael Keaton** and **Stanley Tucci**.

The film will also be featured at the Toronto Film Festival before its official release November 6, stated The Post’s piece.
