**The Baltimore Banner, a nonprofit, multi-platform news operation serving Greater Baltimore and Maryland**, has received a $200,000 grant from the Henry Luce Foundation. The Henry Luce Foundation seeks to deepen knowledge and understanding in pursuit of a more democratic and just world.

“This grant is a testament to our newsroom’s vital work supporting and informing our communities,” said Baltimore Banner CEO **Bob Cohn**. “On the heels of our Pulitzer Prize win and third anniversary, the Henry Luce Foundation grant solidifies the importance of local, nonprofit journalism and affirms that our model for news can thrive.”

**MGH in Hunt Valley announced a new partnership with Birdcall** — a fast-casual chicken chain known for their all-natural ingredients, bold flavors and fresh takes on the classic chicken sandwich. From creative to social media, influencer campaigns, and digital advertising, MGH will help Birdcall grow its brand as it expands into new markets.

**Warschawski in Baltimore announced the addition of Columbia-based Harkins Builders**, a construction management firm specializing in a wide range of building sectors, to its growing client roster. Warschawski created a new brand video and website to reflect the company’s growth and 60th anniversary.

**Michael O’Brien has joined APCO as a senior director in its Health practice**. Prior to joining APCO, O’Brien was a partner and the head of U.S. Healthcare Public Relations at ICR Healthcare. He has previously served as vice president of Corporate Communications for the University of Maryland Medical System and global head of Corporate Communications and on the executive leadership team at MedImmune, formerly the global biologics R&D arm of AstraZeneca. He also headed the Washington, D.C., office of JPA Health, directing award-winning campaigns for Fortune 500 biopharma companies, national advocacy organizations and professional medical societies. In Baltimore he held positions at Imre, MGH and Kennedy Krieger.

“Michael’s arrival comes at a time when health care companies are facing seismic industry shifts—from shifting consumer expectations on rising costs to the huge uncertainty that policy developments are creating in the market,” said **Mathew Shearman**, global chair of APCO’s Health practice. “His deep understanding of the business dynamics shaping health care today greatly strengthens APCO’s ability to help clients anticipate what’s next and navigate complexity with confidence. We’re thrilled to welcome him to our global health team.”
