# Maryland updates from WTMD, WYPR, Cyphers, Amazon and Pugh & Tiller

**Public service broadcaster Your Public Radio announced that it has promoted Carrie Evans to the position of program director** of the Adult Album Alternative music discovery station WTMD 89.7 FM. Evans has served as the interim program director since the sale of WTMD to Your Public Radio was finalized in November 2021\. With this promotion, Evans becomes one of only a handful of female program directors at the more than 50 AAA stations across the country.

**WYPR 88.1 FM has been recognized by the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association** for its reporting, receiving five first place awards and seven second place awards. Your Public Radio (WYPR), Baltimore’s NPR news station, has been honored with three Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) 2022 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, in the Large Market Radio categories of “Continuing Coverage,” “Hard News” and “Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”

**Tim Wright** has joined The Cyphers Agency in Crofton as public relations account executive, supporting Ocean City-based hospitality specialist Blue Water and Annapolis Town Center. Also at Cyphers, **Elizabeth Carpenter** joins as AE.

**Mary Pat Friedman** is now on the marketing team at CareVention HealthCare, part of the Tabula Rasa HealthCare family of companies. **Giulia Pistorio** is with Amazon as part of a new corporate team that will focus on enhancing the employee experience through the development of family focused programs. Her title is Global Benefits Manager, Family Care.

**Warschawski announced** the promotion of **Ben Plum** to vice president of development, overseeing all development, including web and e-commerce, app development, digital design, and database management for the agency’s clients.

**Pugh & Tiller** in Annapolis announced a new Florida office in the Sarasota-Bradenton area. The firm is headed by partners **Jessica Tiller** and **Matthew Pugh**.
