# Maryland Updates: News from Warschawski and Sandy Spring

**Warschawski has been named agency of record for Xcel Brands corporate public relations**. Xcel Brands is a New York-based brand management and media company focused on the promotion and sale of fashion and lifestyle products through direct-response television, internet, brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce channels. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The company’s portfolio of brands includes a number of premier global fashion labels including: Isaac Mizrahi, Judith Ripka, H Halston, C. Wonder and Highline Collective.

**Sandy Spring Bank** is looking to select a “local, best-in-class, full-service advertising agency” to serve as the bank’s lead agency. Experience with banking and/or financial services is a must, and an understanding of the Washington DC Metro market (Maryland, VA and DC), including the media outlets and key influencers, is critical.
