# National Geographic Takes On Refreshed Look and Feel

**With the launch of the May print issue, *National Geographic*** is “embracing our heritage while redefining it in a contemporary way, bringing you the same sense of wonder but with a bolder, more captivating look,” stated National Geographic, which added that the redesigned publication “is one you’ll literally feel before you see it, with upgraded paper stocks that make the experience of holding a magazine in your hands even more of a premium, lean-back delight. We’ve introduced a design that features new visual story forms, timely and important essays, and even more breathtaking photography to explore and illuminate the frontiers of our world—from the depths of the ocean to the front lines of the human journey—with an eye for understanding the people, places, and ideas that shape our planet and for provoking new questions about what’s next.”
