# PRSA-NCC Extends Deadline for Submissions for National Capital Excellence in Communication Awards to Friday, August 20

**PRSA-NCC has extended the deadline for award submissions for the National Capital Excellence in Communication Awards to this Friday, August 20**. Awards are given for the best campaigns and top accomplishments in PR tactics, as well as for the best PR research and top agencies and communication teams. All or at least a portion of the entry must have taken place in the calendar year 2020\. Award categories include:

- Events and Observances
- Innovation due to COVID-19
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Public Service
- Public Affairs
- Crisis Communications
- Misinformation/Disinformation/False News
- Internal Communication (Small and Large Companies)
- Influencer Marketing
- Media Relations (Business, Government, Associations/Nonprofits)
- Integrated Communications (Consumer Products or Services, Business-to-Business, Government, Associations/Nonprofit Organizations)
- Pro Bono Public Relations

- Integrated Media Relations (Small and Large Budgets)
- Social Media
- Podcast/Webcast
- Publications, Newsletters and Blogs (Print and Online)
- Public Service Announcements
- Websites (External, Internal or Extranets)
- Internal and External Video
