[ **Washington Press Club Foundation**](https://wpcf.org/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **announced that**[ **Susan Page**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/pagesusan/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com), Washington Bureau chief of USA TODAY and a New York Times bestselling author, will be honored with its Lifetime Achievement Award at its 80th Annual Congressional Dinner!

On LinkedIn, Page states: “In 1919, six pushy broads who weren’t allowed to join the National Press Club formed their own, and since then it has been supporting and celebrating women in journalism. I am thrilled to be receiving the Washington Press Club’s Lifetime Achievement Award at the foundation’s 80th annual dinner on Feb. 4\. When I arrived in Washington as a junior reporter for Newsday in 1979, not a single news bureau of more than one person had a woman as bureau chief. Now women lead the Washington coverage of the Associated Press, Reuters, Bloomberg News, NPR, the Boston Globe, the Christian Science Monitor and more — not to mention my three top bosses at USA TODAY.

“The Washington Press Club has been part of that evolution.

“Thank you, WPCF!”
