# TDI adds Vanessa Sussman as CMO

[**TDI,**](https://tdinternational.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **a global strategic advisory and risk intelligence firm, adds** [**Vanessa Sussman**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/vanessasussman/?isSelfProfile=false&ref=capitolcommunicator.com) **as Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer.** Sussman will lead TDI’s global brand strategy as the firm expands its advisory, due diligence, investigations, and software solutions into new markets and regions. According to a release, she will “focus on raising TDI’s visibility among key audiences and aligning marketing with commercial priorities.”

“We are delighted to welcome Vanessa as CMO. She brings a strategic mindset and a unique background at the intersection of global affairs, marketing, and communications,” said Jay Truesdale, CEO of TDI. “Her ability to distill complex issues into clear, compelling narratives will be essential as we grow and continue to help clients navigate an increasingly challenging geopolitical and regulatory landscape.”

The release states that Sussman brings more than 25 years of experience leading global marketing and communications strategies across corporations, advisory firms, startups, multilateral organizations, universities, and nonprofits. Most recently, she served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Eurasia Group and GZERO Media. Prior to that, she led private markets communications at Nuveen, the asset management arm of TIAA, and held senior marketing roles at Morningstar. Earlier in her career, she worked with Group SJR, Council of the Americas, Foreign Policy magazine, and the US Mission to the United Nations.

Sussman serves on the board of City Year New York, supporting public schools in NYC, and is a member of the communications advisory board member for the Museum of American Finance.

TDI is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and has offices in Dubai, Zurich, and Houston.
