# The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority hires Hart|MDB for marketing and media buying services

**The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has hired a new ad agency** to help it attract more travelers to Dulles International Airport and Reagan National Airport, both of which are in the midst of major expansions, reports Washington Business Journal.

According to WBJ: “The board of the airports authority, which operates the two airports, approved a new $11.8 million marketing and media buying services contract with D.C.based Hart|MDB.

“The airports authority was coming up on the expiration of its previous five-year contract for marketing and media buying services with Bethesda-based digital solutions and software company DMI and issued a request for proposal in February. Hart|MDB was selected from six total firms as the “highest technically rated” as well as offering the lowest price.

“This new contract with Hart|MDB comes as both Dulles and National undergo major transformations and [leisure travel begins to rebound](https://www.bizjournals.com/washington/news/2022/02/04/airports-authority-revenue-mwaa-air-travel.html?ref=capitolcommunicator.com) from the Covid-19 pandemic.”
