**The Washington Post** reports that it is using [Story Spheres](https://www.storyspheres.com/?ref=capitolcommunicator.com), described as a new and immersive storytelling tool, to cover New York Fashion Week. The Post stated it is the first major publisher to use the feature in reporting. Following the Givenchy runway show, The Post published a Story Sphere from the fashion show that combines a 360-degree image and Post fashion critic **Robin Givhan**’s commentary.

According to The Post, Story Spheres, an experiment by Google’s Creative Lab Sydney and Grumpy Sailor, is a way to add stories to panoramic photographs. A 360-degree image is combined with audio to let users see and hear the entire scene.

“We are always looking for new ways to tell stories and give our readers more immersive experiences,” says **Jeremy Gilbert**, director of strategic initiatives for The Washington Post. “New York Fashion Week is the perfect place to use this highly visual tool and take people behind the scenes in a unique and exciting way.”
