# The Washington Sun launches magazine

**The Washington Sun is creating The Washington Sun Magazine,** a monthly print publication featuring some of the most compelling journalism produced by The Sun’s newsroom, with an emphasis on longform storytelling, essays and local news. The magazine will also feature The Sun’s Hill reporting, D.C. sports and culture coverage, and opinion columnists.

The magazine, states The Washington Sun, will run for six editions and is being edited by **Richard Just**, “who is also the editor of The Washington Sun’s Perspectives section and is the former editor of The Washington Post Magazine. The magazine’s deputy editor is **Alexa McMahon**, formerly of the Post Magazine, and the assistant editor is **Anusha Mathur**. The magazine is being designed by **Erin Aulov**, a former visuals editor and art director at Politico and National Journal. Reporters and editors from across The Sun’s newsroom contributed to creating the publication.”

The magazine will be distributed across D.C., including to every Capitol Hill office. The first three issues will be distributed in partnership with *Washingtonian* to their subscribers.
