**Annapolis, Maryland, is a lure for those who love maritime history**, states MediaPost, and it’s known as “the Sailing Capital of the U.S. and home to the U.S. Naval Academy. The city is a destination for those who love the sea — from Wednesday yacht races, which can be experienced aboard schooners, to eating crabs at Cantler’s, a waterfront seafood experience.”

MediaPost adds that to bring that message to the U.S., “Clear Channel Outdoor, Airports Division formed a new partnership with [Visit Annapolis](https://c212.net/c/link/?t=0&l=en&o=4201787-1&h=1237200633&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.visitannapolis.org%2F&a=Visit+Annapolis&ref=capitolcommunicator.com) & Anne Arundel County (VAAAC). The alliance produced a first-of-its-kind brand takeover of the concourse heading to baggage claim at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall Airport).”

Creative was done by Herrmann Advertising. Media buying was handled in-house.

BWI Marshall Airport is located 9 miles south of downtown Baltimore and 32 miles northeast of Washington, D.C. It is the busiest airport in the region, serving over 27 million passengers. The airport is named after Thurgood Marshall, a Baltimore native who became the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States.
