# WaPo launches revamped “commenting experience” for subscribers

**The Washington Post is revamping its commenting experience** with the launch of “Conversations,” described by The Post as an “exclusive, intuitive way for subscribers to engage with the journalism and expert talent at The Washington Post.

“The site-wide experience pairs the power of AI with subscriber habit to add new dimensions to the commenting experience. The Post is projected to have had more than 19 million comments on its journalism this year alone.”

“Conversations represents a significant step toward our vision of fostering meaningful and high-quality discourse on The Washington Post, centered around the topics our readers care about most,” said **Gitesh Gohel**, Head of Product and Design for The Post. “It also underscores our commitment to building a stronger sense of community among our commenters, creating a space where diverse perspectives can connect, engage, and thrive.”

“Conversations” introduces a host of new features, states The Post, including AI-generated questions that will offer subscribers a conversation starting point.
