**The Washington Post video team** has launched a new video series that, states The Post, “lifts the curtain on the reporting process to help inform viewers about what reporters do. “[How to be a Journalist](https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/other/how-to-be-a-journalist-reporting-on-alabama-senate-candidate-roy-moore/2017/12/08/13df3466-dc39-11e7-a241-0848315642d0%5Fvideo.html?utm%5Fterm=.7a13b1858e63&ref=capitolcommunicator.com)” will be hosted by Post on-air reporter Libby Casey and videos will be published both on the Washington Post website as well as on its social platforms.

““There’s been a surge in interest in journalism, and we want to give our audience a look at what real reporting entails,” said Casey. “People want to know how a hunch turns into a front page article. We want to be transparent and show how we go about reporting.”

They discuss carefully vetting information, meeting sources in person and getting on the record interviews.”
