# Weinstein Leaves LivingSocial

**Andrew Weinstein, who headed PR operations for LivingSocial,** plans to return to Ridgeback Communications, his public affairs business, next month after two years as head of communications for the D.C.-based deals company, reports **Bill Flook** in the Washington Business Journal.

In LivingSocial years, that makes him a grizzled veteran, Flook wrote, who went on to state that Weinstein joined LivingSocial during its ascendancy as the world’s No. 2 daily deal player. “Since then, the gig has turned into somewhat of a crisis communications job, with the company navigating layoffs and persistant losses as it pushes for stability and reworks its business model. Weinstein took on a greater and greater public role as LivingSocial’s communications unit shrank.”

**Sara Parker**, formerly managing director at the D.C. office of PR firm Grayling, is taking over as LivingSocial’s new head of communications.
