A New Spot to Pop the Question: TBC Works with Smyth Jewelers to Create World’s Largest Engagement Ring

Smyth Jewelers, the largest jewelry retailer on the East Coast, is now home to a gigantic engagement ring, part of a promotion created in partnership with Uneek Fine Jewelry and agency-of-record TBC, Inc. of Baltimore.
The ring is 17 feet tall and 14 feet wide and stands by the store’s entrance on York Road in Timonium.
“Smyth has been around for more than 100 years; they are engagement experts,” said TBC Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Allan Charles. “The ring will be a place for people to celebrate their love.”
The ring is modeled after a Uneek Jewelry design and took over a year to fabricate and install. Smyth and Uneek are hoping that couples visit the ring, take photos and maybe even pop the question.
“Smyth is known for being ‘where Maryland gets engaged,’” said Smyth CEO Mark Motes in a release. “This ring is a symbol and a testament to all the couples we’ve helped with their engagements, weddings and milestones, and all those future couples we hope to serve.”
