AAF DC announced that ADWKDC, a weeklong celebration of D.C.’s advertising, marketing and communications community, will be held October 2-7, 2017. The cornerstone event of the week is a daylong conference, Innov8DC ’17, to be held Wednesday, Oct. 4, at FHI 360 Conference Center.
Attendees of the annual conference come from local branding, advertising and PR agencies, as well as tech companies, startups, media outlets, and corporate communications units in and around D.C.
Other events taking place during the week include hosted programs at venues throughout the city, networking opportunities, and more. CREATE, a one-day competition in which teams composed of D.C.-area young professionals and college students create advertising campaigns for selected nonprofits, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7.
“ADWKDC continues to evolve and deliver top-caliber talent from all across the United States through thought-leadership presentations. Our collective industry is represented by media, ad agencies, PR firms, design studios, online/digital platforms, tech start-ups, corporations, nonprofits, mar-comms, and more. Going into our fourteenth year and continuing to offer our attendees something new and innovative is very exciting,” said AAF DC President Jodie Warren. “The events of the week are a great way for area professionals to meet others in our industry and learn from the best and brightest in our industry.”
