Avoq announced that partners Whit Askew and Cedric Grant will manage the firm’s government relations operations and serve as co-heads of the GR team, overseeing day-to-day functions and business operations. 3 Roads Communications, Inc., Frederick, Md, won four Telly Awards for Documentaries, Social Interest Videos and Nonprofit Videos they produced last year. Three of the four videos were awarded prestigious Silver Tellys, and one, Bronze. The winning projects ranged from a one-hour documentary about African American history in Hagerstown, Maryland, (double winner The House on Jonathan Street), to a video, image above, advocating for a more equitable property tax system to help solve Baltimore’s “vacant” problem (Baltimore Thrive), to a fundraising video for domestic and sexual prevention organization (Heartly House).
