FGS Global acquired The Russell Group, a D.C. lobbying firm with, states a release, “strong, decades-deep relationships across the food and agriculture sector. This acquisition aligns with FGS Global’s deliberate strategy of expanding its position as a definitive, end-to-end advisory partner across critical sectors, including in health care, financial services, and energy through the recent acquisitions of Tarplin, Downs & Young and Rich Feuer Anderson. Founded in 1985, The Russell Group brings more than four decades of advocacy, policy development, and coalition management experience across the agricultural supply chain and energy policy space. Today, the bipartisan team provides strategic advocacy and issue analysis across critical areas including trade, appropriations, climate and sustainability, food safety, biotechnology, and biofuels.
Signal Group adds Josie Feron as Director. Feron was most recently the Communications Director for the Office of Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC) and previously worked for Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD). Signal also announced the hiring of Catherine Delgado, MPH, as an Associate, who joins the firm after graduation from the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health.
Seven Letter is celebrating its 20th anniversary and the fact that 25% of its staff started as interns or fellows and 50% hold equity in the firm. “We’re not celebrating because we’ve arrived somewhere, we’re celebrating because we’re just getting started,” said CEO and founding partner Erik Smith. Building Seven Letter from a one-person shop to a firm that’s publicly traded on the NASDAQ with offices in our nation’s power centers, including D.C., Boston, New York and Los Angeles, reflects its enduring creativity, states the agency.
