FOVNDRY adds Jon Hukill, above, to lead the Maryland agency’s public relations team. Hukill, states a release, is a seasoned communications leader with 15 years of experience in communications, public affairs, and marketing. As FOVNDRY’s PR Director, Hukill leads the firm’s public relations team and leverages the agency’s resources, expertise, and know-how to deliver integrated communication strategies and solutions for its clients. He will also contribute to the firm’s business development efforts and other agency operations.  Prior to joining FOVNDRY, Hukill spent six years at kglobal, a D.C.-based communications firm, where he managed the agency’s public relations team and specialized in public affairs campaigns for private industry, trade associations, and nonprofit organizations. Previously, he was the top editor for a state politics digital media company, and also served as campaign manager and spokesperson on several state political campaigns.

Concepts Communications took top honors for its work on the “Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?” campaign, which won in the Campaign of the Year – Other category at the PRNEWS Platinum Awards gala in New York City.  Developed on behalf of the U.S. Department of Labor-funded Campaign for Disability Employment, the “Mental Health at Work: What Can I Do?” campaign, states a release, educates that, when it comes to promoting a mental health-friendly workplace, everyone within an organization has a role to play.  In addition to various versions of a PSA, including in Spanish and accessible formats, the campaign includes a range of materials business leaders, employee resource groups and others can use to raise awareness about mental health in their own workplaces and facilitate discussions about collaborative approaches to workplace wellbeing. These include a long-form video that dives deeper into the topic and a poster and workplace guide.
