JPA Health Communications added Dan Sweet as a VP in its D.C. office. Prior to joining JPA, he worked for FleishmanHillard, where he managed a variety of accounts dealing with national and international regulatory issues and crisis communications. His hospital background includes providing public relations and crisis services for MedStar Health. At the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO), he managed media for all ASCO meetings including its annual meeting with more than 30,000 oncology professionals that generated national and international media coverage.
Red Banyan Group hired Jodie Singer as an account executive in its D.C. office. Singer will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of public relations strategies and communications campaigns and collateral for a wide array of clients. Singer comes to Red Banyan Group with a background in Jewish non-profit work. She graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from UNC’s School of Media and Journalism. Red Banyan, which launched in late 2010, opened its D.C. office in 2014.
Richmond Ad Club is accepting entries for this year’s Richmond Show. Work can be submitted at the show’s website. The so-called “PsychADelic Show” will be held April 1.
