John Seng, founder of Spectrum Science Communications, announced that Jonathan Wilson will succeed him as CEO. Wilson joined Spectrum as president in 2014 and assumed management of the firm that Seng founded in 1996. Earlier in 2016, Spectrum received public relations industry recognition as Healthcare Agency of the Year and was selected among the Best Places to Work. Earlier this year, Seng appointed Wilson as president of GLOBALHealthPR, the largest independent PR network dedicated exclusively to health and medical communications worldwide. Spectrum is the U.S. agency partner and owner of the GLOBALHealthPR brand. In the past year, Spectrum has been named The Holmes Report “Healthcare Agency of the Year,” a PRWeek “Best Places to Work” winner, and a PR News “Top Places to Work” honoree. Headquartered in D.C., Spectrum opened offices in Chicago, New York and Atlanta over the past two years.
Ketchum, a global communications consultancy with a D.C. office, was recognized for the seventh consecutive year as one of the Top Places to Work in PR by PR News. Ketchum has received this accolade every year since 2010, marking the longest run of any company to be featured on the list.
SteerPoint Marketing, based in Indianapolis, opened an office in Reston, Va, that will headed by Jolynn Pehlke. According to a release, Pehlke gained extensive experience in the sales and marketing industry from a variety of positions ranging from payroll sales for ADP to pharmaceuticals sales for Merck/Schering-Plough. After seven years as Sales Manager for a commercial print company, she transferred her skills, knowledge and marketing experience to her own company, Potomac Marketing Group.
