Agency Updates: Vax joins Pulsar Advertising, McCarthy joins DGA Group and BlueHuki Group wins award

Ingrid Vax, a business development and marketing executive with over 30 years of experience, joined Pulsar Advertising.  Before joining Pulsar, she was Head of Business Development at RP3. Vax, above, also led business development and marketing efforts at Bullhorn Creative. Earlier in her career, she was President of Spurrier Group, a woman-owned performance media agency. In her spare time, states LinkedIn, she is actively involved with Junior Achievement of Greater Washington and Breakthrough T1D (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

Justin McCarthy has joined DGA Group as a partner in the firm’s U.S. government relations practice. McCarthy was most recently a senior adviser at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and previously was special assistant to the president for legislative affairs during the former President George W. Bush’s administration. Prior to his tenure at the White House, McCarthy was the Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs. In this role, states LinkedIn, he worked closely with Congress on various free trade agreements, including those with Colombia, Korea, Oman, Panama, and Peru. Justin also played a key role in enacting Permanent Normal Trade Relations with Ukraine and Vietnam. Before his government service, Justin held the position of Director of Government Relations at Pfizer Inc.,

Washington City Paper’s Best of DC named BlueHuki Group the top agency in the Best Creative/Marketing Agency category for 2024. In 2023 the agency was named runner up. Additionally, the full-service marketing agency was recognized as a finalist in the “New Business” category for the Best of Falls Church 2024 awards.  According to a release, Washington City Paper’s Best of DC award reflects more than 68,500 votes and 680,000 advertisement impressions. Similarly, The Best of Falls Church (BOFC) awards were conducted via an online poll by Falls Church News-Press readers. More than 3,000 total votes selected the City’s best purveyors of food, drink, retail services and more. BlueHuki is a full-service marketing agency composed of military spouses, teachers and marketers based in Falls Church, VA.
