AMADC Turns 90 in 2022

AMADC‘s charter was written in 1932 when a group of future-looking marketers dealing with the business and social impact of the Great Depression decided marketing could help us rebuild businesses and grow.

According to AMADC, Franklin Delano Roosevelt had just won the presidency in a landslide election, “about 25% of the country’s workers were unemployed, and hope was in short supply.” But that same year, Amelia Earhart became the first woman—and the only person since Charles Lindbergh—to fly nonstop and alone across the Atlantic, demonstrating, states AMADC ” that anything was possible.

“We continue to face many challenges for marketers and our country, but reflecting on AMADC’s launch and durability shows us we can do anything when we set our collective marketing minds to it. Look for 90th Anniversary events throughout 2022, and remember if our community could grow and thrive over the past 90 years, there is nothing that can stop us.”
