Around D.C.: Weber Shandwick, Nahigian Strategies and Glen Echo Group
USAA hired Weber Shandwick as its lead corporate communications agency, reports PRWeek, which added that the IPG firm “will bolster USAA’s overall brand and lines of business by providing “strategic, creative and operational campaign and PR services,” the firm said in a statement.” Work on the account will be led out of Weber Shandwick’s Washington, D.C., office.
Nahigian Strategies announced “a unique partnership with Carr Companies, a leading property developer and innovator in the workplace experience, to bring all-new digital, television, radio, and podcast production services to the heart of Washington, D.C.” Big Whig Media will be an on-the-ground, full-service broadcast production and editing studio in the courtyard of the Willard InterContinental Hotel, “steps from the White House and other prominent private and public locations.”
Glen Echo Group announced that John Perrino has joined the D.C.-based firm. Perrino comes from the George Washington University (GW) School of Media & Public Affairs, where. as Communications Director, he managed all marketing, media strategy and digital communications. According to a release, his extensive experience in third-party management, media relations, digital advertising, content development and event planning will deepen the expertise Glen Echo Group provides to its clients and partners.
