Around the Region: WHAG becomes WDVM, PR Talent Adds Jaya Koilpillai Bohlmann and ACEP Adds Laura Wooster

by | Jul 26, 2017

WHAG, which serves the Hagerstown, Md, area, but is technically in the D.C. market, is changing its call letters to WDVM, to reflect its expanded coverage of D.C., Virginia and Maryland. After 46 years as an NBC affiliate, the station lost its NBC affiliation last summer and is now independent.

PR Talent, billed as the nation’s largest communications specialist search firm, hired Jaya Koilpillai Bohlmann, to build its D.C. presence.  Bohlmann brings more than 20 years of PR experience to the role including serving as VP of Corporate Communications for Sodexo and Managing Director of the Corporate and Financial Practice for Burson-Marsteller.

The American College of Emergency Physicians named Laura Wooster its new associate executive director for public affairs, heading ACEP’s DC office. She replaces Gordon Wheeler who retired in June, 2017.
