Around the Region: Whiteboard Advisors Names Nicole Harburger its COO and Merkle Adds Paul Walczyk as VP

Whiteboard Advisors, a boutique social impact firm, named Nicole Harburger its Chief Operating Officer. Harburger joins Whiteboard Advisors after a decade-long tenure at the impact-focused strategic communications and advertising agency GMMB.  As COO, Harburger will design strategic communications campaigns for the agency’s clients and also focus on scaling the firm’s communications services and portfolio.  The agency has offices in D.C. and San Francisco.

Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency based in Columbia, Md, announced the appointment of Paul Walczyk to vice president, client service group leader. According to a release, in this role, Walczyk is a leader within Merkle’s client service group who will lead the management of resources serving clients to deliver on our promise of executing on people-based marketing strategies.  Walczyk joins Merkle from Havas Worldwide, where he served as the global account director, leading an integrated agency team for a global brand. Prior to that, Walczyk was the senior vice president of marketing for One Main Financial, a Citi company, where he was responsible for all direct marketing acquisition and customer campaigns, to drive qualified leads to the 1,100 branches around the country. Previously, Walczyk also was with American Express, GE Capital and Constellation Energy.
